Urine 10 ml cooled, acidified, protected from light – test tube in aluminium foil
How to prepare the sample
Urine should be acidified: this can be achieved by adding concentrated HCL to the urine until you have a PH about 2 - 3. Mostly you need about 250 µl to 1 ml HCL for about 9 ml urine. But you have to check the PH while doing so. Afterwards you wrap it in aluminium foil (->light-protected), cool it and send it cooled (With a cool-pack)
