Differentiation of glomerular and interstitial/tubular nephropathies.
Only useful in case of increased U-P/C ratio.
Not recommended if urine is contaminated with blood or if prostate cysts are suspected.
Detection of Bence-Jones protein in case of suspected myeloma.
Please note that our urine electrophoresis has now been optimised:
Through an updated methodology, it is possible to evaluate the proteins excreted in the urine in an even more differentiated way.
All relevant glomerular and tubular proteins are differentiated and diagnosed, so that urine electrophoresis can indicate underlying disease even more specifically.
Bence Jones proteins, which are diagnostic for the presence of multiple myeloma, can also be detected by this test.
