Secretory IgA (sIgA) is a component of the adaptive and mucosa-associated immune system and is primarily found in secretions (e.g. saliva, milk, digestive juices).
Its function is to protect the body from infection by forming a protective barrier against pathogens such as
viruses, bacteria and fungi.
Secretory IgA (sIgA) from faecal samples is included in the dysbiosis profile and can also be requested as an
individual parameter.
