ELISA in dogs
IFAT in cats
Please note that, in dogs, we will run the ELISA test, where as in cats, IFAT method will be used. If you would like us to use the IFAT method for dogs, please write this clearly on the order form (test number for IFAT in dogs is 3572). It is important to It is important to consider, that reference values differ between the different laboratories and the titres are not comparable with each other (neither in IFAT nor in ELISA-testing). Controls should therefore be performed in the same lab with the same method. Additionally, in IFAT testing there is manual evaluation, therefore titres may differ for one titre-level due to individual assesments. The ELISA titre is evaluated by the machine, and this allows better comparison of results.
